The Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa headed a delegation for a meeting with YJC Group, aiming to deepen support for the industrial upgrading of green energy across South Africa.

Recently, Paul Mashatile, Deputy President of South Africa, led a high-level South African economic and trade delegation to visit Shenzhen and held a special high-level meeting with Derrick Zhou , Chairman of YJC Group. Relevant officials from the the Embassy of South Africa in China, the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (dtic) and the Free State Provincial Government, as well as persons in charge of foreign affairs and industrial authorities of Nanshan District, Shenzhen City attended the meeting. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on core topics including the construction of integrated PV, energy storage and charging projects in South Africa, supporting industrial chains for new energy vehicles, and the coordinated development of local industrial ecosystems.

During the forum, YJC Group elaborated on its market layout and localized operation achievements in South Africa. As one of the Chinese enterprises deeply engaged in Africa’s new energy market, YJC Group has long adhered to the development philosophy of long-term deployment and localized operation. It has established operation centers and brand direct stores in South Africa, building a full-fledged service system covering technical support, equipment operation and maintenance, talent training and full-cycle after-sales services, which can precisely meet the development needs of South Africa’s energy transition.

YJC Group also announced its commitment to supporting South Africa's Integrated National Electrification Programme (INEP), working closely with the South African government to facilitate project implementation and contribute to the country's goal of expanding access to clean energy by 2030. The initiative will provide distributed energy storage systems for rural schools, community clinics and grassroots welfare institutions, helping bridge electricity access gaps while strengthening community resilience through sustainable energy solutions.

Deputy President Mashatile spoke highly of YJC Group’s achievements in rooting itself in South Africa and developing local industries. He stated that South Africa is accelerating the upgrading of its energy mix and the electrification of transportation. Infrastructure integrating photovoltaic power generation, energy storage and charging, as well as supporting industries for new energy vehicles, are key priorities for the country’s green development, and there is an urgent demand for industrial upgrading. In addition, inclusive rural energy projects fall under the category of nationally prioritized initiatives. South Africa will keep improving the environment for industrial cooperation.
